Aeroklub CUMULUS - Opatija

The Poreč International Parachuting Championship represents one of the most significant international parachuting competitions in the region and a key reference for the Cumulus Aeroclub in organizing sporting events according to the highest international standards.

The competition has been held regularly since 2021, with continuity in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, while the 2026 edition is already planned. In the 2024 and 2025 editions, the competition had the status of a high-ranking FAI Category 2 competition, organized fully in accordance with the rules and technical standards of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).

The organisation of FAI Category 2 events is proof of the operational, technical and safety capabilities of the organiser to take over the organisation of FAI Category 1 events, including World and Continental Championships and World Cup competitions. The award of such status is decided by the International Skydiving Committee (ISC) of the FAI.

The competitions achieved top sporting results, with the participation of competitors and teams from a large number of European and non-European countries. The Poreč International Parachuting Championship has thus established itself as a relevant international platform for the development of top-level sports, promotion of the destination and strengthening international sports cooperation.

Within each edition of the competition, an archive of official results is planned, available via official PDF documents, and in the next phase through connections to international sports results databases (WALAR).
